Have you ever heard of Taro?

This article is about the Polynesian food. For other uses, see Poi (disambiguation).
Hawaiian poi made from taro should not be confused with:
Samoan poi, which is a creamy dessert created by mashing ripe bananas with coconut cream
Tahitian po'e, which is a sweet, pudding-like dessert made with bananas, papaya, or mangoes cooked with manioc and coconut cream
A bowl of poi showing a typical consistency
A traditional way of making poi: on a wooden pounding board (papa ku‘i ‘ai) with a carved basalt pestle (pōhaku ku‘i ‘ai)
Poi is primarily the traditional staple food in native cuisine of Hawaii, made from the underground plant stem (corm) of taro (known in Hawaiian as kalo).

Hey guys here's my buddy's keto vegetarian poi recipe...
Taro, water
Turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, 3 slices of toast, mayo.
His parents had a Chinese restaurant in a small town when he was a kid, poi was their most popular menu item.
2dimes wrote:I did write about my buddy's parents who owned a Chinese restaurant when he was growing up. You win again! He once complained about having to slice up turkey back then.
Maybe Duk will come explain how he read a Wikipedia article about turkey, and chicken is also poultry, therefore I probably only eat hot pockets made by my mommy.
Did you try that poi recipe? It's one of my favorites I have only had it in restaurants.
