This one was for more than 10,000 advanced air-to-surface munitions like laser-guided bombs, "bunker buster" bombs, and MK84 general purpose bombsāwhich the Saudis have been raining down on Yemen since March.

Agence France Presse wrote:At least 10 air strikes carried out by a Saudi-led coalition in Yemen broke the laws of war and killed civilians, Human Rights Watch alleged on Friday. Washington has given strong diplomatic backing to the Saudi offensive and earlier this month approved a $1.29bn sale of bombs to renew its ally's arsenal.

The annihilation of Yemenās cultural heritage extends far beyond air raids on the famous ancient skyscrapers of the northwestern highlands; other areas of the countryās pre-Islamic history have also fallen victim to the coalitionās bombing.

But there was also something else ā a flat scrap of metal that provided a clue as to the origins of the blast. It was the tailfin of a GBU-24 Paveway-III Enhanced laser-guided bomb, manufactured in the United States by the Massachusetts-based company Raytheon.

Since March 2015, the U.S.-trained Saudi military has used U.S.-origin weaponry, U.S. logistical assistance, and shared intelligence to carry out strikes in Yemen.

In the last ten years the US has provided over $90 billion in military aid to Saudi Arabia. Even a cursory investigation into the matter would show you that.
Without the US Saudi Arabia would fold in no time and the House of Saad would be run straight out of the country if they were lucky. If they got unlucky they'd find themselves on the wrong end of a long rope in short order...

My only sympathy is for children who don't understand why daddy or mommy is killed by a tribe they know nothing about, in a war that started so long ago no one remembers who or why it started.
Just imagine it started over a camel, goats, or a patch of sand, would it be worth it? If someone knows why it all started step forward and speak I want to know what was so important that even children are still dying today because of it.

It was a Yemen civil war. Saudi Arabia took a side, Iran took a side.
Very much like Syria if I'm not mistaken. The US has picked a side to, what do you think of that?
For my part, it is a disgrace to my country because civil wars are bad enough but when you get the US involved things just get much, much bloodier. Not to mention, what gives us (the US) the right to decide who runs a country on the other side of the world?
In the US' own civil war, one of the first things Lincoln did was to war the European nations to stay out of it. Lincoln found an unlikely ally in that effort, Russia. Few don't realize it but there was a Russian flotilla stationed in San Francisco for the duration of the US civil war. The Czar of Russia was prepared to fight on the side of Lincoln not against the south but against any European powers that tried to intervene in the US civil war.
True story.

It certainly has nothing to do with Arabs fighting over goats because "that's just what they do." Good lord.

It was a split, a schism in Islam when the Prophet Muhammad died. A disagreement on who should be Caliph, Abu Bakr or Muhammad's cousin and son in law Ali should be the Caliph. The one side became the Sunnis and the other side became the Shias. Various subsects splinter off and before long they are all fighting each other.
Not too unlike the Catholic schism to be honest. The Muslims have just been at each other's throats ever since where as the Christian sects more or less learned to live along side each other for the most part.

Ty patches, I could have googled it, I didn't but it shows your intent to have and answer questions, unlike pissant who responded according to his nature.
