Do I agree with Jay, no. I am appalled that he would refuse health insurance to someone just because that person chooses to have sex with another person of the same gender. That is persecution based on sexuality. Also just as bad as racism.

I'm not refusing anyone health care. Is that what marriage is? A health care policy? I was married for years before I or my family had health care. It took me getting a decent job so I could afford it to get it. Marriage had nothing to do with it. That is not persecution based on anything. So, in 50 years when a man wants the right to marry his dog I guess if people stood up against it that would be "persecution" too? Its a matter of right and wrong. Moral and immoral. Let me make it clear, I am against the lifestyle not individual gay or lesbian people. I do not nor condone holding up signs that say "God hates Fags!" I do not go up to gay people and say, "Ya know, you're going to hell." To compare standing up for morality to racism is a GIANT leap and one I find hard to grasp.

it's not hard to come to this conclusion: jay can't recognize simple arguments. he's not real bright. doesn't get most of what people are saying here. not worth talking to.

Ok so perhaps I'm stretching it by saying, denying the homosexuals the right to marriage to gain health care insurance, the chance to fight over property during a divorce, living with someone day in and day out sometimes wanting to kill them and what ever else comes with getting married. Is akin to picking on a guy for posting a 'kneejerk reaction' on a forum.

I just don't see where a couple of people enjoying making a promise to stay together until one dies. Is made any less light because they are the same gender. Do I think it should be condoned by churches. No I can't say I personally do, but I defend the right of each individual church to make their own policies.

I think there are plenty of worse things being taught or done in organised religion. And I insist people participating in what may be arguably a bad or wrong marriage is not nearly as bad as what Glide pointed out regarding priests and little kids.

Some people think it will dilute and ruin the institute of marriage. I think that was allready done by heterosexuals.

I'll never understand some people.

Dudes I've worked with, "I've been married 4 times."

Um, ok. Tough luck about the first 3 dying then?

"Nope, divorced. My 3rd wife was best at... blah blah blah, 1st wife etc. 2nd."
