More like U.S.A. vs China.

China want Taiwan back (they have never recognised its independence, since the Nationalist Chinese Government fled their after Communist forces took control of the country). As you might know Taiwan is heavily backed by the U.S.A and they have stated previously that they would resist Chinese efforts to reoccupy the island with force.

That's because during the Reagan years the US and Soviet Union had a non-profilation agreement. However while the US was dismantling their nukes Russia wasn't (as they had agreed to do). All of this is moot anyways. There will be no war involving US vs. Europe or US vs. Russia. Now EU vs China, that is a good possibility.

As far as I remember it was the Americans who didn't want to reduce their stockpile when the Russians tried to find an agreement for further reductions. I think that happened in 2001. Anyway the point is that Russia has more nuclear warheads than the US while Jamie thinks the US has more than all the countries in the world put together.

Of course I agree that there will be no Russia vs US war as I stated earlier. However it is much more improbable that there will be an EU v China war. *lol* How did you think of that? The EU is an economic force but militarily it is divided, it's not a military entity yet, nor is it a global player militarily. Apart from that they would never fight China. It's much more probable that the US will have tensions with China in the very near future. The reason: Taiwan.

USA vs China is most probable - reasons - Taiwan, or China becoming economically closer with EU and screwing over USA, and effectively blackmailing USA. EU is split on which side to enter (UK will probably go USA, too strong a connection/relationship and history), but later on in the war EU will have to join in, no 2 ways.
