Yes, of course.

Pacifism and non-violent proselytizing is almost always just self-serving hypocrisy... same goes for almost any 'moral' argument.

Everybody justifies or disregards the violence they like or that benefits them, while despising the violence they don't like, and in fact using it as an excuse for more of the violence that they do.

Here is a mind-bomb that will blow a few craniums open, if it manages to get by the blinders and firewalls...
Every murder that has ever been committed in the entire history of the human race has been an act of self-defense.

Ok, you are either trolling or a potato. Either way you are not worth an informative effort.
All the links I gave earlier had relevant info.
Mandela's ANC used ambushes, rockets, car bombs. They tried to blow up a friggin nuclear power plant.

I'll leave you with this and be done with you.

1) Your source gives NO casualties.

2) ALL targets appear to be legitimate and the killing of ANYONE DOES NOT appear to be the MAIN intent. The targets all seem to be infrastructure.

3) using only the latest Hamas attack, the main targets WERE humans and included mostly civilians. This includes women, children, and even infants.

4) Now to move on, beyond this silly attempt to compare South Africa to Israel: I see no serious denial that civilians were indeed the main targets of the October 7 attack by Hamas.

5) I read few, if any, credible accounts denying the atrocities committed against Israeli citizens.

6) Hamas, and the Palestinians who voted for them, use their only real resource: human shields for their weapons and military, especially their leaders. If all their military is hiding among civilians, civilians become part of the casualties. Hamas continues to try, like saxi, to exploit this propaganda point. It is about all they have.

This reminds me of Democrats who only beat the drums of abortion in their campaign ads.

7) Read the Hamas Charter; there are rejections of peace and the call for Jihad against Israel.
Via
8 ) Do not simply provide links. That is NOT evidence. Use the evidence there to support your argument. THAT is how to debate.

9) One side’s “freedom fighters “ are “terrorists” to the other side. IDF vs. Hamas.

If someone showed up from 6,000 miles away, moved into your house, kicked you to the curb, and told you they would now negotiate for a peaceful settlement provided you didn't request anything more than a tent in one corner of the backyard, would you say "okay, that seems reasonable - let's negotiate for that!"

I’d be pissed if they did that to me and Imwould try to kill them.

If they did that to my grandfather’s cousin 75 years ago I would still be pissed…
but at some point If I were smart and I could see I had no chance of reclaiming that, then yeah I’d hopefully be smart enough to move on and focus on my kids.

Though your story is missing a lot of context, and is not a perfect analogy.

Again… blame Britain and France for creating the situation in the first place with their Partition Plan.

Oh well, next time.

It’ll have to be some other group, because Hamas won’t exist for a “next time”.

Also, I’m pretty sure developing nuclear weapons is a little more complicated than just finding atoms with nuclei.

This is quite possibly the stupidest sentence I have ever read in this forum.

The only way this makes sense is if words don’t have meanings anymore.
I know a lot of people in the culture war area are trying to usurp the (previously) universal meanings of common words… but the contortion you have to do to redefine “murder” or “self-defense” here is next-level.

I see no violence is meant to say that your evidence does not support your point. Try again, and with better evidence. I was being kind, but I see that you did not pick up on the nuance.

You are not good at debating and discussing are you? You make weak arguments and offer bad evidence. And please do not put words in my mouth; you are terrible at that, too.

You offer me NO help, so please do not try. Your offers are simply pitiful.

Bottom line: Arafat is not Mandela and Gaza is not South Africa. Argument over.

As I have already stated, merely posting links is NOT evidence; you have to use your brain to explain how the bolster your arguments. And you do a poor job of such.

I posted LOTS of evidence from many sites for a long time. What you have read is a mere smattering of what I have posted, so you draw your opinion from very LIMITED info and posts. You are simply WRONG.

No, JimB fail to grasp the key points; you again "analyze" at a superficial level.

1) Vot pastes lots of LINKS only and uses that to "argue" his point(s). That is not a way to argue and debate and bolster his point. He needs to actually give analysis of how information at that link supports his idea.

2) He also accuses me of stating only my opinion, that I do not offer any evidence. I showed him that I offered LOTS of information from many different websites in other threads here on CC.

3) He accused me of only doing so on other websites. Again, I prove him wrong.

4) I read and cited the Hamas charter. I did not copy and paste it nor link to it. Thus it must be only "opinion" according to Vot, which also NOT true.

5) His debating skills are similar to yours, JimB, before you grew up and learned to argue less from Passion and more from facts and evidence.

6) I will now quote from the Hamas Charter:

In its original 1988 charter, Hamas states that “There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by Jihad.” In a 2017 version of its charter, Hamas claimed to reject the “persecution of any human being or the undermining of his or her rights on nationalist, religious or sectarian grounds.” On October 7, 2023, it launched a terrorist attack that killed more than 1,300 people in Israel.

Hamas was established in Gaza at the end of 1987 as both an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood and a rival to another designated terrorist group: the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. In line with its belief that "The day that enemies usurp part of Muslim land, Jihad becomes the individual duty of every Muslim," Hamas not only condemned the historic Oslo Accords but declares that international peace proposals and conferences are "but a waste of time, and vain endeavors."

Such pronouncements and a string of violent acts made it easy for the US State Department to designate Hamas a “foreign terrorist organization.” Others like the European Union, Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom have taken similar steps.

By 2017, it appeared that Hamas wanted to reshape, or at least clarify, its public image in some quarters. It took steps to soften some of the most extreme language of its 1988 charter by issuing new statements and declarations that, while not repealing or superseding the original document, supplemented it with more ambiguous terms and rhetoric. For example, the original charter called it "compulsory that the banner of Jihad be raised." In 2017, Hamas portrayed itself as a resistance movement aiming to “liberate Palestine and confront the Zionist project.” In 1988, Hamas explicitly acknowledged its links to the Muslim Brotherhood, but the 2017 Hamas Charter is devoid of references to the Brotherhood. In 1988, Hamas declared that the “Day of Judgment will not come about until Muslims fight Jews and kill them.” By 2017, Hamas claimed its mission wasn’t “a struggle against Jews or Judaism,” but a “struggle…against the Zionist occupation….”
