Your Amoco SpeedPass is RFID. Your New York State Thru-Way EZ-PASS is RFID. The security badge I have to "buzz" me in at work is RFID. I have all three and sleep very well at night. There have been proposals, at least this side of the ocean, that fingerprints, name, date and place of birth, current adress, practically every information about a person should be saved on those chips, not just a random number to identify the card itself.
