Wrong. Heavy is right.
jay_a2j wrote:"Patriotic hero"?
Fine then '
Hero to your nation's values', it's all semantics really... but if it makes you happy then who am I to deny your ego's whims?
jay_a2j wrote:I see a danger, as do many other people around the word.
Jay, next time you want to say '
See' in that context, it'd be far more accurate to use the words "
believe in an unevidenced and unsubstantiated". Y'know, what with that being an accurate description of your perception of this 'danger' and all...
jay_a2j wrote:HC posted a link about a guy in the UK who believes 7-7 was a "conspiracy".
Actually, that was me.
Or perhaps this is another conpsiracy, and me and HC are actually both evil shapeshifting lizardpeople who share a communal hive-mind? Better head to youtube and see if any solvent-addled loons have posted wild hearsay on the matter... after all, I'm told that counts as 'proof' these days.
jay_a2j wrote:Lets see.... on the very day they are practicing an exercise on dealing with multiple explosions on mass transit.....IT HAPPENS! Did you know that FEMA flew into NYC the night before 911? How convenient.
Ahhh yes, there's that wild speculation I was talking about only moments ago.
What a crazy coincidence it was that in the wake of mass transit bombings in Spain and the United States that the UK police were practicing dealing with a similar situation themselves. How utterly irrational of them. Isn't it strange that they conducted (and continue to conduct) precisely that kind of training on most days of the week. How outlandish and madly improbable it was that an actual attack coincided with one of those many scheduled training exercises... good god, the only conclusion we can possibly draw is that evil shadow-governments were behind this all along. A cartel so perfect and insidious that they can enslave the world without anybody noticing, yet simultaneously so incompetent that they'd make a blunder such as you allege.
Seriously Jay, pull the other one. It's got bells on it.
jay_a2j wrote:It is frustrating as hell to see this danger....and get nothing but ridicule and labeled stupid terms the media comes up with to make us look crazy
Actually they're terms that normal sane-minded people come up with because you
are crazy. But of course, you find it much easier to keep believing that you're some rebel hero if you can blame everybody's (entirely justified) scepticism of your ideas on shadowy bogeymen whose existence you can't prove.
jay_a2j wrote:Why do you accept everything and everything the gov./media tells you as truth?
We don't.
That's just a petty aspersion that you fling at us whenever you get upset that we're mocking your crazy-talk. Also, it makes it much easier for you to keep believing that you're the saviour of America if you label us all as evil drones.
jay_a2j wrote:Some days I feel like just grabbing the damn kool-aid and downing it.
Just on some days?
At any rate, I think we can safely conclude that today was one of those days...
jay_a2j wrote:the government will explain it away so I don't have to think for myself.
Ahh yes, the old "
you don't think for yourself. Sheeple!" line... how trite.
If 'not thinking for myself' involves not accepting shonky hearsay on youtube as gospel, and taking a balanced look at all of the facts presented about current affairs, rather than just knee-jerking into a '
shadow-people did it' polemic... then perhaps I'm quite happy to keep doing it.
In short, it's you who doesn't think for yourself, because you're quite happy stumbling along in your blinded haze, ranting about shadowy conspiracies rather than waking up to the fact that the world is just a little bit less black-and-white than the fairy-tales you were brought up on.
