heh... the reason it's so embarrassing is that I do care, and have spent a lot of time and thought developing my thoughts about both ex-candidates, and listening to speeches, and discussing their views at length with people... only to say "Ron Paul" when I meant "Huckabee"... #-o

Sorry, but I haven't the foggiest idea of anybody who wouldn't vote for Obama in the general election that would be swayed by having Edwards on the ticket. The whole concept of the VP (in modern American politics) is to broaden the appeal of the presidential candidate to voters. Effectively, Obama and Edwards appeal to the exact same strain of voter (reasonably young professionals) , which makes Edwards something of a waste of a vise-presidential place on the ticket.

I'm telling you Ron Paul on Obama's ticket would guarantee a McCain loss.

I wasn't really thinking about winning the election when I reccomended the Edwards VP candidature, just in general to set up a good liberal presidency.

Someone(JAY) would probably kill Obama, just so Ron Paul would be president!!!!

And I assume that by "shit" you mean 'closest thing to perfection ever in the history of government.'

Nah, I'm non-violent. Also I have nothing against Obama, he's a little too liberal for my liking but at this stage in my life, liberal is better than war mongering blood-lust.

What are you talking about clapper? Really? I don't post in flame wars because the threads are trash. 99.9% of the time my "sarcastic" statements are retaliatory. I don't just insult people without having a reason to do so. I hope everyone that has attacked me, and the list is quite lengthy, is getting the "keep it in flame wars" pm's. Because if I'm being singed out I can re- disappear, its not a problem. I find it odd that I have been coming here since 2006, haven't changed the way I post (when attacked give a little back) and now all of the sudden my posts are being mod-edited and I'm getting ridiculous pm's in my inbox.

Not that post you didn't...the first pm you sent me, my post was mod edited (and I don't even remember what I said).

the "med" statement? lol, just poking a little fun there. I don't actually think DM is taking meds...its just friendly jabs that happens all the time all over these forums. If we can't inject a little humor in our post this site will become real lame real quick.
