it's ironic really.....people in the South still say that the Civil War didn't end and the South didnt lose, and all that. In the South they still fly Confederate flags. So it's funny that a Northerner is saying we won, when you guys don't want to admit you lost.

First of all...
- grits is disguisting
also...
- cornbread in the south is so much better than what you assume is cornbread
- Mexican food should never be eaten in a state not touching Mexico
- Sweet Tea, Dr. Pepper, and water are the only liquids you will ever need
- Texas is the best state, end of line...
- Northerns make fun of the expression "ya'll" yet they themselves cannot speak understandable English
- The Union forces did not win the war, the secession was just repudiated which meant an end to slavery

sadly the show ended before they compared the size of penises across the country so i cannot comment. Though one would have to assume texan women have to deal with the shrinkage issue far less frequently than their northern heterosexual sisters.

but I was on abut the same latitude a Nova Scotia.
Now I'm on the same latitude as Lisbon, but 'm still not in the South.
Similarly, if you venture into Scotland, yoiu'll still see road signs when you gt as far as Inverness indicating "The North".
My respinse was "I'm in INerness. I'm IN the effin North!"

Texas WAS an independent nation. Why did it not stay so? It's VERY COMPLICATED and has a lot to do with civic nationalism, slavery, and the impending Civil War. The Wikipedia article on the "Texas Revolution" or something of the sort will probably give you a fair idea.
