Been to both, but I have never seen a pimp in Thailand. And I have seen Child prostitution in Taiwan, and Brazil.( Yes I acctually saw the kid asking for money for sexual exchange. And yes I gave him the money but left with out my change, if you know what I mean)

Having never had any sort of experience in, near, or around Thailand or Taiwan (Japan is the closest I've been), I'm going to have to vote Thailand because I just found this great Thai restaurant that is fucking awesome. I don't know that I've seen any Taiwanese restaurants around...

well, i actually researched your claims (with the CIA world factbook) and Thailand does have more people in poverty- 10% compared to Taiwan's 0.9%. however, we have a better GDP :D

I was born in Taiwan, although I am only half because my dad was an American G.I. I was last there in March of 2005. Here is a picture of my uncle's factory.

The nearest big city would be Taichung.

Don't ask me to get more specific, because I do not live there and know nothing about the geography.

I do know that the property is in a semi rural area with some rice paddies etc... But like everywhere else in Taiwan, it doesn't take long to get back into the urban area.

Heh. My close friend owns a cement factory in Dansui or w/e. It's just off of Taipei, where my gramps live. We visit for a month about once a year.
