Including Country?Guiscard wrote:Pretty much everything. I can certainly appreciate, and have in my collection, music from every genre (more or less). I listen to the more extreme metal genres much less than others and hip-hop more than anything, but everything else is good too. I produce and record hip-hop, so you have to have a diverse library to sample from anyway.

Of course Johnny Cash counts. By the way, ever heard of Chris Ledoux?Guiscard wrote:muy_thaiguy wrote:Including Country?Guiscard wrote:Pretty much everything. Bits of it, Yeh. Johnny Cash (does that count?), stuff that Joe Strummer has done country wise I find as some of his best work... I've watched and enjoyed several documentaries about the roots and development of country. I'm not a huge country fan, but I appreciate it as a genre certainly. Perhaps folk is more applicable, but still...

Have you heard Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros? His band before he died. Sort of folk/roots/country crossover. World music stuff really. Absolutely brilliant.
RIP Joe.
