Dude, how many places have you visited or lived at?

What can I say.... I live to travel. I have lived in Mariupol, Ukraine; Gaylord, MI; North Port, FL; St.Petersburg, FL. As for all the places I been.... this might take a while.... All the continental states, most of Europe, Canada.... basically everywhere except Mexico (planing to go for spring break) and Australia (going next summer)

I know, i know, the name sounds funny and it's in the middle of nowhere, but snowboarding around there is great.

I've travelled alot as well.....in the navy, and by motorcycle....and I can't think of anywhere I'd rather live. Misconceptions about our country include thinking we're all frickin' french.....only about 30% is french Canadian....and thinking it's cold all the time.....our summers get pretty hot in places like Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, etc. We also have produced some of the top music acts in the world, and have quite a few sports heroes as well. Considering we only have a population of around 30 million, being known as the worlds peacekeepers isn't a bad thing either.......oh.....and we get to say "eh" all we want, cuz it's expected of us.....eh...... And although I grew up in Ontario, and Nova Scotia, I now live in British Columbia, on Vancouver Island. Snow rarely stays more than a few days in winter here, you can ride year round, and they have flower counting parades in Victoria in February every year. It's also where the U.S. came to replentish their eagle population. I have bamboo growing wild in my backyard, and there are over 20 pubs within 10 miles of my house. Yep....I like bein' Canadian eh....:-)

yes, we haev everything u can want, but i have to say our health care though it is the only one availible to everyone, it is failing with the passing of each year, thats y there is going to be a battle to make our public health care more privatized with the aging of the baby boomers :(

so how did you come up with the name Canada? well at the beginning one newcomer asked another newcomer "What do you think we should name this country?"
"How about let's say some random letters until we think of a name?"
"Okay I'll start: C"
"Eh?
"N"
"Eh?"
"D"
"Eh?"
"Hey lets call it Canada!"
"Eh?"

EDIT: oh yeah And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead came from Canada :D

actually the name "canada" is native american. it was the first natives in canada that came up with it when the dominion of canada was established.

canada means village or something along the lines of that. An explorer(forget who) came to canada and met some native americans and they would say canada and point inland toward their village. The explorers thought that was what they called the land(like a country name) and started to call the new world canada.

Eventually when colonization began the name was dropped.

I have a few Native Canadian friends who would probably prefer the term "Native North Americans"............after all.....even Sitting Bull, and Crazy Horse both called our country "Mother Canada".......and although the U.S. is often called "America"......in reality..it is "The United States OF America".
Hmmm......now that I think of it, guess that makes us "Canada OF America"eh?
