It's damn hot!

Been in the 80's solidly here, which is down from the 90's we'd been having 2 weeks ago or so. But we have had very little rain. This past Thursday and Friday it did actually rain some both days, but we've not had a good solid day of thunderstorms in months. My yard is dead, haven't had to cut grass in nearly a month. Which is good, because I have a large yard (by suburban standards).

It's actually been kind of balanced here, rain and sun, rain and sun. Though it only seems to rain during Frontier Days here!

i'm fine with winter, i just love going to sleep under warm covers
california got its first rain in over 3 months; i remember the days when it actually rained in the wet season rather than rare increases in the chance of rain.

This is just funny from a British point of view. We've just had the worst bout of flooding since 1952. About 5 people have died...
