Looks like the Aussie election went almost exactly the same way as Canada's. Labour (center-left party) were polling to lose power and seats 'bigly' over the last year, then Trump came to power and Australians decided to give the liberals the largest vote share and seat count majority they have held in 50+ years on voting day this week. It's ranked choice voting, and while the non-TPP parties actually had some of the best results ever in the early rounds, conservatives lost their shirts.

Was reading up on Guatemalan history. They had to keep moving their capital due to floods, volcanoes and such. Then later learned their civil war lasted 36 years. 1960-1996. That’s a lot of time! You mentioned going once. Just wondering if it changed the trip or caused concern.
