You’re all correct about lifestyle and cheap goods.

The problem is it’s not sustainable and puts your country at risk I’m other ways.

I’m not saying it’ll be easy, quick, or even possible... but I truly feel we gotta take our industrial base back.

We’re living high on the horse, but the horse is dieting.

We also need to lower our expectations and accept the fact that we don’t need a new TV every few years. We need better quality good that we keep longer.

"Maybe you need to go eat a gold bar..........." First, have a happy retirement.

Ive explained gold before and if ya really wanna know you can find the answers.
I dont think you do tho.

Having said that, you do have a point about digital currency, I dont think its a defensible point but a point none the less.

The only thing I'll say about gold is that gold is the centre of the economic universe, has been for over 5000 years, not understanding gold in economics or finance is akin to an automotive mechanic not understanding that cars are fueled with gas, even when an argument can be made that future cars will operate on electricity.

Good Morning from #Germany, where
Germans hoard more gold than the
Bundesbank has in its vaults. Germans own
8918 tons of gold, about 6.5% of the world's
gold reserves. A third is kept at home. In the
past 2 yrs alone, 250 tons have been added.

i'd hope it's the sanctions on the EU - seems the most harmless of the choices provided. Iran and/or Venezuela seem quite frightening, tbh... :?

Ur funny HitRed

Gold is good.

1. In Gen. 2:12 God declares that gold is good because He created it. Paper money, referred to as "your wealth" will be consumed. Also, our so-called paper money is really made from a mixture of paper and cloth, which is referred to as "rag." Interesting that our righteousness is always referred to as "filthy rags" in scripture.

2. Gold is tested by fire. I Cor. 3:12 tells us that the foundation and quality of our lives will be tested by fire. Notice gold and silver are simply purified by fire, but wood, hay, and stubble are consumed and loss is suffered. Need we say more?

3. Gold is a sign of power and blessing. Throughout history the ruling class has always sought to own gold and silver because they represent purity and longevity. Gold and silver are precious because they are scarce; they cannot be counterfeited by man. God commanded that the tabernacle in the OT and the New Jerusalem in the NT were to be built of gold, not paper. (Ex. 25 & Rev. 21)

4. Gold & Silver belong to God alone. Hag. 2:8 tells us that "the silver is mine and the gold is mine saith the Lord." This cannot be said of man's counterfeit credit instruments which are contrary to God's commandment that we use a just weight and measure in our transactions.

In conclusion, silver and gold are good, pure, and long-lasting forms of value originating with and BELONGING TO GOD. We are simply stewards of His property here on Earth. ;)

As promised China strikes back at Trump's new tariffs, targeting $60 billion in US exports. Its good to note that China will not only target US products, but it won't buy them at all(I bet replacement is already found elsewhere), but the same doesn't apply for US imports and US citizens will have to pay the bill eventually.

With average annual growth rate of 9.52% in the last 30 years hardly anyone on the globe agrees with your opinion that China is punishing its people.

Mocking CNN who says Trump is hurting the American people by raising tariffs. Will CNN say China is hurting the Chinese people by raising tariffs?

Yes, pretty much everybody says that, because most everybody agrees tariffs are mostly pretty bad and paid by consumers in the country imposing tariffs. I hope we get more money for public transportation to help with the increase in the price of automobiles.

Tariffs are not in a box though. Mexico might start making something we imported from China. Or a Chinese company might move to Vietnam. The world is in flux.

If the msm says it the vast majority of americans will believe it.
What they wont think is America is punishing its people.

What % of americans have figured out its them that pays the tariffs Trump puts on product?

This trade war hurts everyone, lets hope the american population realizes that quickly.
But my guess, is they will just notice the prices rising without understanding why.

Being fair, 99% of populations cant figure that out in "normal" circumstances not just americans.

Considering the 'MSM' you love to hate are reporting this fact Ad nauseam every day, everyone here in America already know and understand this fact. Even Ludlow has admitted to this during a recent interview.

Do you get CNN in Russia Armati?

You are talking nonsense... If there were price competitive products in Mexico or Vietnam, without any doubt in my mind I can claim that US would have bought them, but there are no such. And why would US care if something is made in Maxico, Vietnam or China?
With all these tariff wars only one thing might change for US... Moving factories from China to US, but that wont happen, not in this life. So US citizens will pay more for the same products, their purchasing power will be affected and eventually that will lead to another crisis like we had in 2008. And again US citizens will suffer, along with the whole world I presume(you, me, and most of the users in this forum will be affected as well). By the time all this settles 20 years will pass and nothing will change.
So unless you are a cat and you have 8 more lives for living, use your brain and think logically what the outcome of all this will be.

Unfortunately when politicians measure their dicks people are the ones who suffer. I have very low hopes that this will be resolved quickly in a friendly manner.

100% agree

I guess China is talking about boycotting american goods in China, not the gov but the people.
We get to find out if thats happening with the next i phone sales reports.

I just hope it doesnt lead to war, the currency war has been going on for years now, it escalates to trade wars and from there historically it goes to shooting wars.
I just hope they come to some kinda deal.
