Yes. Obviously he won't say so directly. No one is THAT STUPID ...

(Oh wait - waves to Bernie - Hi there Bernie - No one that can actually be elected President?)

A "Government for the people" doesn't try to make it more difficult for "the people" to defend themselves. We haven't been a Government for the people for decades now, thanks to both parties, I should hasten to point out. We are a "Government of the bureaucrat, by the bureaucrat, and for the bureaucrat." Even members of congress are more akin to a bureaucrat than a real elected short term serving official.

Currently having a brain fart otherwise I would mention a novel at this point ... Why don't you mention the novel for me and save me some time.

Got news for you, but they are silly facts Tzor...Most Americans want a background check on people buying guns.

You are just being silly, right? Are you serious? Whatever Tzor, keep parroting what you hear from the FEAR MONGERS of Fox News and right wing hate radio.

Most people want reasonable things - most people don't suspect lying bastards when they cover their demands in reasonable things. Hell, I want background checks on people buying guns. If it is reasonable, why not? If it is fair why not? At the town hall there was a rape victim who asked why she could not defend herself with a gun. Obama missed the general problem of the issue, most rape victims often have suicidal periods. Under his requirement that would go into the database and thus forever restrict her from having a gun for self defense even though she no longer has such thoughts. (Anyone who really wants something for self defense isn't thinking of killing themselves for obvious reasons.) It's like that damn "No fly" list. Although he is dead now, senator Ed Kennedy was on that list. Hardly fair. I wouldn't trust him with a car, but definitely with a gun.

Besides those that rape, surprise women. Not only would the rapist still rape, but would get a free gun to murder his victim to boot.

So basically we should be more afraid of someone killing themselves then a person trying to kill another person? Guns are for self defense. Guns are not for suicide. If a person wants to kill themselves there is an aspirin bottle in the cupboard or Drano under the sink. Do understand this correctly?? Maybe we all should stay arms length from rapists?

Aspirin to kill yourself? Drink drano?

You have to write a book on killing yourself.

Suicide is not something to joke about, I hope it never affects your family. The suicide by gun rate in the US is a tragedy.

Unfortunately when I was 13 having a friend shot by another friend accidently and killing him. I grew up having friends die or go to prison. I just had one of my best friends die about a year ago by suicide. He kneeled in a ball right in front of a train. I value life more than anything but I also understand shit happens. It's the ying yang scenario.

That's an awful thing to have to live with. I took the try to stop shit happening approach, but I very much understand the shit happens approach.
