As a vaping nooby a lot of your experience seems to come from trial and error (at least in the position that I am in). I do not have anyone that I know who vapes, we do not have a shop that is specific to vaping. We only have tobacco shops who carry some overpriced vaping supplies and the people who run the tobacco store don't know a whole lot about vaping. So, I am in a quandary and I am learning some from trial and error, and some from websites and forums. Vapers.tv is somewhat helpful, but I don't always get the answers that I want...sometimes I even get horrible advice from people that might consider themselves veteran vapers. This is why I started this thread on CC. I wanted people that know somethings about vaping to share it with people that are curious or new to vaping.

If you are a noob to vaping and try to get help from Vaping chatrooms, be prepared to get banned from a few rooms. Apparently when you ask noob questions, some channels feel the need to ban you for trolling. This has happened to me a couple of times.

Have you been here? http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette

Reddit is the best resource out there imo. It helped me immensely when I started out. Noob friendly. :)

I tried vaping but it never worked for me. If I'm outside or drunk, I want a cigarette, not a fake. I tend not to smoke in my house. Also, unless the vape tastes extremely similar to the cig, it doesn't do it for me. I'm addicted to the entire thing, not just the nicotine.

Also, is there any truth behind all this talk about vapes being more harmful than regular smoking?

No but as it's a way to be ingesting a bunch of delicious chemicals it's not going to particularly healthy either.

Smoking regular tobbacco is weird too. You get someone who smokes for ten years and gets lung cancer. You have another person like George Burns who smokes cigars and nearly makes 100 years old.

No truth whatsoever. While they are not 100% safe, they are MUCH safer than traditional smoking. What type of ecig did you try? Blu, Njoy, and other "cigalikes" are terrible.

"Are electronic cigarettes safe? Of course not. But e-cigarettes don’t need to be absolutely safe. By definition, harm reduction involves an alternative product that is much safer. As electronic cigarettes contain no tobacco and do not involve combustion, they do not expose users to most of the more than 60 carcinogens in tobacco smoke, and they appear to be safer by orders of magnitude." - Dr. Michael Siegel

The BBC did this report on ecigs. The results were of course in favor of ecigs being much less harmful than tobacco smoking. NOT 100% SAFE! Just much more less harmful. So, if you are a cigarette smoker, I would personally start looking at getting a good vape mod (not a crappy ecig you buy at the tobacco store). Find a good mod that you can control the wattage and heat of your vape. If you like tobacco flavor, they have juices with tobacco types of flavor...but believe me, after being a two pack a day smoker for fifteen years...I do not miss the flavor of tobacco. I am finding Hazelnut Coffee types of vapes are my favorite, and if I am looking for something with a little kick...try something with Cinnamon in it. You also can choose differing nicotine levels in your ejuices. Heavy smokers will want to go for the higher nic levels. I myself am currently at nic level 6. I could easily ween myself to 3 and 0. Nicotine apart from the added chemicals that cig companies put into them is actually not that addictive. I only vape when I am at home mostly at the computer. I don't Jone's for smokes at work, and I really don't Jone's for vaping either. But when I get home from work, I like to reward myself with a beer and a good vape!

Also, if you join Vapers.tv you can potentially receive free ejuice in the mail by winning random drawings. Also, to let you all know that if you make any order to RedE Juice before the Fourth of July...you will be entered to win a SnowWolf200. In addition to enjoying Free Shipping. I've ordered form RedEJuice about three or four times already...it doesn't matter how big your order is. Just that you order something...then you will be entered into the big July 4th drawing. It will be announced on their FaceBook page on July 4th!

Thanks but no thanks. There are free giveaways on reddit every day. Vapers.tv looks terrible sorry.

Never heard of RedEJuice before. It's never been mentioned on reddit and there's nothing on juicedb.com. I am happy to post a list of quality juice vendors. There is better juice out there. :)

Yes the Kanger has a deck with it so it can be used as a RTA. The coils are easy to rebuild in them also....You just need to know how. Like practice and stuff. Even if you use the deck you still have to get to know your wicking material and how tight or loose it needs to be inside the coil....these types of things only get learned through doing and getting it right until you can feel it....keep trying. I rebuild mine when I need to..only if I need to lol

What RiskTycoon said. :) Rebuilding is easier than I thought it would be when I first got into it... just takes some practice. It still can be a pain for me with tanks.

I think I know the feel, but trying to wick this 1.2 ohm coil is a pain. And I don't care how perfect you think you got it, it will dry hit on you just because the cotton tends to be a bit large. I got the cotton as loose and fluffy as possible, but I still got to prime puff this bitch like a fucking crack whore during the Apocalypse.

However, just received my iStick50 today and I am cleaning up my Aspire Atlantis 2 tank. Probably clean it up and let it dry for a few hours and give her a shot later tonight. Then I will be subohmin' beeyatches!

Also, ordered a Tesla 120 and some .3 heads. I want to see the differences for myself.

Most definitely I will take any recommendations. I started with RedE Juice because they helped me get started when nobody else seemed liked they cared about a noob vaper.

With my new subohm, I am wondering how RedE Juice will fair. Will the flavor be a bit different? Will I have to move up to a higher VG? I like the idea of big clouds, but that's not all that I want. I like the feel as if I am pipe smoking and the flavor to pair well with beer or coffee that I like to drink (not to mention the "relax" factor).

Nautilus Mini is good but a bit old. I assume you are looking for a non-rebuildable since you said you had an Eleaf GS16S. A Kanger Subtank with 1.2 ohm coils might work for you. I've heard good things. You could also look into getting a higher wattage device like the IPV MIni 2 and a sub-ohm tank like the Herakles (best sub-ohm tank imo).

They also have the new subtanks too...good stuff. If you want something smaller you could get the subtank mini or nano...I have the nano. Doesn't hold much juice but does the trick and it's not huge lol

I'm still hooked on this Juul by pax labs. The same folks who make the pax 2 loose leaf vaporizer... I don't use my old apv much at all unless I don't have any pods for my Juul...

I like my device am just begining with the tank systems, so dont know much about ohms . after 3 months just found out i need to change the coils i just been changeing the whole tank every month lol. I am Also wanting to try the space juices with one flavour on the inhale and another on the exhale, has anybody tried these juices and do they actually do what they say.

Ok i got a beyond vape silo lite tank and the galactica space jam liquid had 2 go to shop. So poped into vape shop. So my thoughts of it are.

You get the strawberry taste on way in but dont really taste the champagne on the way out.

I think it would be good maybe to get a user group going where we can mark and rate different juices, tanks and batterys.

Make sure you exhale through your nose too. Taste and smell work together in the brain. So it may change if you do...might not lol
