My "malfunction" in this particular case is your chickenshit passive aggressive ("I didn't want to start another evolution vs creationism debate, just thought it was interesting") hypocrisy. You post an extremely biased article poking fun at creationists, and then give us this wankerish "who me?".

Oh for f*ck's sake. Please explain:

a) how the article poked fun at anyone and an example of its 'extreme' bias
b) 'passive aggressive hypocrisy'
c) your enduring bitterness.

FWIW:
The article reported the opening of a museum. It quoted both anti and pro views. And it was in a British newspaper - hardly anyone in this country agrees with you about creationism. Here it is almost like believing in a flat earth. This is a fact, I'm afraid, and I don't know how I can put it any less inflammatorily. Sorry. They should definitely print a disclaimer every time they mention evolution though.
Come to think if it I seem to remember you getting arsey last time this was mentioned. Conflicted?

As for 'CC evolutionist', whatever that is, please add 'CC round-earthist'. Apologies for my hypocrisy in not affording the belief in a flat earth the same weight as my own, admittedly contorversial, views on the shape of the planet.

(A) I'd feel ridiculous trying to explain to you something so obviously self explanatory. (B) I think i've already gone into enough detail on that one. (C) Like i said, sanctimonius hypocrites give me a case of the red ass. Passive aggressive behavior is chickenshit, and this pompous arrogance on your part - now i believe in a "flat earth" since i don't subscribe to your views - is more suited to an American - the Brits i've known have usually been a bit less crass.

a) No, this is because you have no reply to make. If you're going to accuse something of being extremely biased, you should be able to support your claim in fewer words than you took to avoid doing so.
b) if you're not the old dude in your pic then tell me, seriously, because i don't want to argue like this with a child.
c) and if posting a link to an article makes me a pompous arrogant sanctimonious passive aggressive hypocritical wankerish crass chickenshit CC evolutionist, then goddammit that's what I am.

And when did i say you believed in a flat earth? I used a comparison to make a point. The americans i've known have usually been a bit less stupid.

This "museum" is deserving of ridicule for presenting these wildly distorted, drug-induced theories. Any paleontologist or geologist can tell you that mankind did not live alongside dinosaurs.

The only place that ever happened in was a cartoon called The Flintstones and in a few old Merry Melodies shorts.

Presenting these moronic statements as facts denies them the right to be taken seriously. Who cares what the bias of The Guardian is? The whole things whacked regardless of any news article.

Let's just call a spade a spade already.

I call spades shovels! How dare you!

Anyways, the whole idea behind creationism and young earth theism is that it ignores basic laws of science to come to conclusions.

I have to agree with this, and heavycola...sorry, bk.

Sometimes I see comments by Americans - and it is only Americans - who say they wish to see an "unbiased" commentary on this issue, like Avron did on the previous page, and "let people make up their own minds".

That's what bothers me the most - not the nutters like Behe, or the director of this museum, etc - but ordinary people in the US who seem to think that a reasoned position to take, between two opposing sides, is that perhaps the truth lies somewhere in the middle, when in this case, it's 99.9999% likely that it just doesn't.

And any man or woman of the cloth could tell me that mankind did live alongside the dinosaurs as evidenced in the Bible. What do I know about paleontology? Nothing!! What do I know about the Bible? Nothing!! But I do know that the paleontologist can lie to me as easily as the priest.
For all I know, both evolution and creationism are equally flawed or both are somehow flawless. I haven't seen the isotopes used in carbon dating any more than I've seen God's fingerprints upon the earth. Perhaps both are just conspiracies to control the masses.

How's that for unbiased?

Excellent post Roger. Heavycola, since it was my barb that started it, i apologize. I didn't expect my barb to get such a rise out of you, and taken unawares i responded to your anger with more of my own. I don't dislike you - you're one of the more intelligent posters on the forum, but i get pissed at your contempt for those who disagree with you on the evolution thing.
