As many of you know, a while back, I posted a thread condeming the practice of homosexuality, and I got blasted for it. I'm not tolerant you said. I'm racist you said (homosexualty isn't a race by the way). I was called every filthy thing there is to be called, for speaking ill of homosexuals. So, after all of that grief I took for everything I wrote in that thread, I wrote a thread that implied Muhammad might have been gay. Now some of the same people that bashed me for calling homosexaulity wrong, bashed me for saying Muhammad was gay. If there is nothing wrong with being gay, and it is ok, and accepted to be gay, then what exactly is wrong with a revered religious leader being merely implied as gay, without actually being so. Alot of people are speaking out both sides of their face. Either it is ok to be gay, or it isn't. The person that is, or isn't gay, should make no difference as to whether it is alright to be gay, or not.

Germany has an army. Sure compared to the US army and the overall population of Germany it's probably pretty small. But the Bundeswehr does exist. It's got troops deploye in Afghanistan and afaik they're helping with training Iraqi troops. (At least they offered to help)

MeDeFe, I think people are refering to the fact that for a country the size and wealth of Germany, their army is a fraction of the strength it should be. Germany and Japan have been helped by their anti-military agendas as they get to increase their GNP, and spend more money on their economy. America spend like £500b on their military every year, imagine all that was spent on improving the lives on the people who live in the ghettos in USA.

To whoever said the French are pussies - The British would never have surrendered at Yorktown if it wasn for the French. Their navy wona battle vs us, due to a fck up by one of our commadners which stopped us supplying our troops with the necessary resources. Nowadays in Europe, UK has the strongest military force, although France have a very well trained army. I read in a magazine that the US have this army base on a Pacific/Indian Ocean island, which takes the US Marines an average of 4 hours to complete the assualt course. A group of French soldiers all completed it in 45 mins. They may not be as technically advanced, although compared to most countries they are, but they are very well trained and diciplined (this hurts me a lot to say, as I'm British).

Also, 1812 was a victory for Britain as they achieved their war objectives, whilst USA failed. Also, Napolianic Wars are so much more important for the consequences of them, and the resources the UK pumped into them rather then the War of 1812. In reality, the USA would never have stood a chance vs UK if we used our whole army, like you did, in either the Revolution or the War of 1812.

French aren't pussies. They are among the world's best. Neither Russia nor France nor any European nation will ever try to take the US and vice versa. If Russia and the US were to go to war the world would end. Studies show that the US would be harder hit than Russia as Russia is twice as large as the US vis-a-vis land size. During the revolution Britain also fought 3 other wars simaltaniously(sp?)-

# Fourth Anglo-Dutch War (1780–1784)
# Second Anglo-Mysore War (1780–1784)

They also had troops deployed in Scotland and Ireland, due to the previous uprisings there. Also, troops were in foreign countries which were becoming part of the expanding empire, ie India (with British East India Trading Company), Singapore, coastal locations and ports in Africa, the Indies etc...

To get back on topic a bit - I posted in your Mohammed is gay thread (before it got closed). I knew you were just stirring it - that’s why I just posted the facts to dispute your suggestion. I know. I just didn't consider the one of the 1770s as a revolution. More like a war of independence. For me revolution is like France in 1790s and Russia in 1910s.

That's because during the Reagan years the US and Soviet Union had a non-profilation agreement. However while the US was dismantling their nukes Russia wasn't (as they had agreed to do).
