If you're looking into some magickal system that works for personal gain, whether that be direct or through helping others, I'd look into Chaos magick.

Regardless of the ability, the process and ritual serves a cathartic function.

Psychologically, casting a destruction spell on someone serves the same function as, say, telling that person off or getting revenge on them. It allows you to vent the negative feelings.

besides vt here and his imput... the whole convo between passion and kitten.. is the whole reason why i stopped looking into wicca or other such things... people take it seriously like dreary talk seriously.. kinda makes me tired reading about it.. don't get me wrong im all for your own religion and such but damn... when i was doin wicca... i heard three fold law, i heard if you do good things good things will happen to you.. guess what.. nothin good, still nothin good has happened... and so far from experience of my life nothing good shall come so far...

first and foremost magic or if you wanna use a K in it, it is all the same.. (if you wanna tell me magic is like fake illusions and shit and magick is the form of wicca and shit, no f*ck you, it means the same just spelt differently trust me ive looked this up and asked to many people) is good or bad, when you get into wicca at least, both fall in the three fold law, when your casting white or good magic, good shit is supposed to happen back, you realize this, it is also possibly partially the reason you were doing it (using it to help your coma mother because you dont want her to die or stay in veggy state, that is called self gain, your using magic to gain your mother back) this triggers the self gain rule, where your magic will f*ck up because your using it for self gain... there is really no act that will not trigger the selfish gain....

black magic is fun, because three fold, your obviously doing it for your own selfish gain, plan on it... but aparently it gets addicting (personal note, never did black magic...)


in the end, if your gonna make fun of magic or magick, plan to make fun of praying to one true god and believing in miricales... or however it is spelled (im not usin firefox right now) because it all requires fath and belief.. now... personally i like voodoo...

I approach magick, like any strange new thing, with the scientific method. The few sigils I have created actually did what I asked them to do. Granted that I may be confusing correlation with causation, but at the same time I can only use my own observations as things such as magick are highly personal.

Rest assured, that should I find a way to perform some kind of working or spell who's effects are obvious, that I will apply for and win Randi's million-dollar prize.

Realistically, that's probably never going to happen. But one can hope.
