England vs Croatia should be interesting.

I agree. Neymar tends to over react to fouls but he receives fouls like no other. He needs to know how to jump to survive otherwise he'd always be injured.

Sounds like you think that england will win the world cup if they make it to the final though. You might need to remember that both potential opponents for the final are better than croatia and england..

Yeah I thought we were done for. I thought Brazil was still going to tie us, but honestly Tite brought Doubles Costa in waaaaaay too late and Firmino should have started. These two were gamechangers. Willian and Jesus were completely useless.

But hell, I think this must've been almost as great a relief for France, Croatia and England as it was for us Belgians. This Brazil was crazy strong.

Honestly... i would ve prefered to play brazil rather than belgium. I've always seen France eliminate Brazil in knock-out stage, we are their kryptonite and belgium has a history of being france's kryptonite.

We are also pretty pissed in france to see Thierry Henry on your bench. He is probably France's 3rd best player of all times behind Zidane and Platini, and it just feels so wrong to see him as an opponent, in a world of national teams where this should never happen.

Can't wait to see that game, and at the same time... it feels so good to still have your team in the world cup, just hope I won't lose that (and no, third place game doesn t count lol)

A History of Englishmen in Russia (very important!):
definitely about football

Fake News of the Day:
Beligum is one of only three countries that have never been invaded by or invaded Russia.

I gotta say, if Croatia somehow beat England, I hope they go all the way and win. Imagine there being less than 10 (or exactly 10?) nations that have won the World Cup and Croatia is one of them. That'd be cool.

There are 8. Croatia would be 9th. What's even more cool is Croatia is the smallest out of 4 countries left. Croatia 4 million citizens, Belgium 11 million, England 55 million and France 67 million. It's quite surprising how consistently they've been delivering quality players for such a small nation.

To a degree, but they only have a good starting XI. The remainder of their squad isn't even close in comparison unfortunately. I'm not sure they've got anyone to replace the Modric Rakitic duo either, which is the best central midfield in the entire cup.

If Belgium win the WC it will more than double the number of famous Belgians the world has ever seen.

Les Bleus!!! Gotta root for them but love Belgium too. Will definitely be going for the winner in the final game.

Just got MLS All Star tix last night ahead of today's Ronaldo announcement since it sounded like it was all but done... not that I think there is a great chance he'll show up for the game... but who knows!!!

I didn't watch the game unfortunately. Was it good? I'm not surprised France won, they've been stepping up each game, however I'm a little gutted as I felt like an England vs Belgium final could've been great to see, and also a little easier for us lol.

Thanks wauuw, you guys were a tough bunch to beat.
Some belgian friends that don't know much about football were only focusing on how we lost time in the overtime with m'bappé, and how unsportsmanship we are.. these guys are belgian with italian origins and were telling me how good sports italians are in overtime.... i was thinking how interesting perspectives are. Italians... fairplay in overtime... probably the greatest joke of all time.

Anyways... england or croatia? Hope it will be france-england. I mean we are best enemies in rugby, and we almost have no history together in football, this needs to change

It was a great game. First half really had strong moments for both, then we scored early in the second half, but the game remained quite back and forth.

Ah come on, don’t tell me we ain’t that special now when the crunch comes in VI nations. I understand that you are the archenemy of all the british isles, but the flavour of a France-England in rugby is different. That’s some passionate hatered with some funny taunting. A France-England in football could bring some of that.
Our archenemy in football is probably italy, while yours is germany. We should hang out and hate each other too!

Battle for the second star for the final???

I certainly wasn't implying that England will win it. They've played nobody yet, and I doubt they'll beat Croatia but we have luck on our side. The ball control, movement, passing, creativity is none existent in this England team. When you look at the quick precise passing of Belgium, the finishing or the strong organised defence of France, with the passing and vision of pogba and speed and technical ability of mbappe England are out of their depth. It's a funny old game as Jimmy Grieves used to say though, so you never know.

If England do win tonight they have to start with Vardy, his pace and finishing will be our best chance of getting past the excellent French defence. The problem is we don't have any great passers of the ball to use his pace. I predict England to get past a tired Croatia in extra time 2-1 tonight, then to lose 3-0 to France.

now who is this martinez guy? lol. in the middle of the world cup semi finals, which is almost as high as the stakes get in sports, this guy only known in MLS gets a moment of glory posing for a friendly summer game of a minor league? sorry MP, lol, don't take it personally... but even ronaldo's signature for the juventus is absolutely meaningless right now (unless you're a RM or juventus fan) as we are aproaching towards the end of the most important sports event in the world! hehe
