It's part of USSR National anthem.
Here is a translation of that part:

Unbreakable Union of freeborn Republics,
Great Russia has welded forever to stand.
Created in struggle by will of the people,
United and mighty, our Soviet land!

Interesting. Why can't modern National Anthems be more like that?

Because most are not blatant propaganda and were written more than a hundred years ago.

Haha, here is a Christian talking about propaganda. How un-suprising.

And no, I don't think most were written more than a hundred years ago. The current Australian anthem was only written about 30 years ago, some other countries would be less than that.

Read about the "aryan myth" bunk the nazies were spinning and then come talk to me about propaganda. Also, take note of the underlined contradiction in fact verses statement.

HOW DARE YOU COMPARE 3RD REIGN TO USSR? I know Russian history very well, I know that people were bullshitted and lied to by their government, but tell me what does U.S. do? Every country's government employees propaganda to sway opinions, but in the recent years U.S. has used that tactic way too often.

Yes, I do dare compare. They were both totalitarian police states and they lied all the time as a matter of comman practice. Democracies shouldn't but invariably do. And as for the current US administration, it has lost my support (which is to say, I don't agree with them but they are the current leadership).

To Skittles, and the notion of "No Moral Absolutes" isn't a form of propaganda? As the old saying goes: People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

I didn't say all were written over a hundred years ago. The word used is underlined in the above quoted text. Some are bound to be written (or in some cases re-written) more recently. Lay off the anti-american hatred and go get a beer for goodness-sake!

Here, I'll underline where I didn't say all either.
I didn't know the Church supported under-age drinking, but yes, I'll have a beer.

Ha, you're blinded by your faith about the propaganda that Christianity has used that it's sad and funny also.

And what, exactly, is this? What am I supposed to be treating as the Holy Truth.

Truely, I have no idea what you are arguing for; I only contributed because I saw a good opporunity.

In case you never realised, the entire purpose of any National Anthem to be biased and provide propaganda. Please, provide to me a single national anthem what dosen't boil down to "We are better than everyone else". Thus, I find it rather stupid of you to accuse Russia's anthem of being biased.

Also, I hope you realise the sheer, planet exploding, brain melting hypocracy of a Christian accusing a non-christian of believing the 'Holy Truth' (Note capitals) as though it were a negative trait.

Wait a minute...you didn't happen to see the report by John Stossel, Stupid in America, did you?

My friend and I were joking around about how to change American education. We said there should be no junior high schools (7th - 8th graders). Put them out and make them do manual labor to work off all their energy since they are so restless. By the time they enter high school, they will truly appreciate the opportunity to learn instead of complaining about all their homework.

My wife is from the Philippines. When I go there to visit I see how poor the people are, but they respect education and what it can do for people so much. The families will generally not tolerate insubordination towards teachers and will back them up. The students all seem so happy to go to school. The average Filipino student will be bilingual by the time they finish 8th grade.

I know not all people are like that, but it is really worrying when you know some people in the world don't even know the basics, like naming their own country when asked to give a country beginning with 'u'.

I also think it is quite worrying when they were asked what country to bomb, and one guy says "put a big crater in middle east"

Yes seen that, but then I decided to go back to the source and read the original report from UNICEF. That's a good idea, but I doubt that 7th and 8th graders can build or do anything worthwhile. I think we should give all teachers paddles and make it legal to spank kids in school, this way they'll be more respectful toward teachers and might actually learn something beside how to complain.

Public education in America is becoming a severe problem. The parents aren't doing their job properly in raising their kids. Looking at that video, when I see kids walking on desks or talking out or doing other stupid things in class, I see a bunch of spoiled American kids who don't realize all the benefits that they have.

No problem, here found 1 article related to it.

Not exactly what I was looking for, but that was close enough. I never thought South Korea would be there, strangely.

Why wouldn't south korea be there? their economy growth rate this past decade has been huge, and the kids and parents their know the value of education. (although they do have other problems dealing with inner school violence)

I wish there was enough $$ in the budget to force our kids to go to 3rd world countries and witness what tough times are really like.

That's one of the scariest things I ever saw, 18 years and barely able to read. I mean, I was reading fluently (though not writing) when finished kindergarten. After 2nd grade everyone was reading fluently in my class. And what the hell do they need a gym and a swimming-pool like that for? If every class had 5 or 6 hours of PE every week it might be appropriate, but I guess that's not the case.
