The Saudis are supporting the Yemen government against an insurgency and the uprising in Bahrain was about political and civil rights, not religion.

Riiiiight and it's just a coincidence those are the two only countries on the peninsula with such large shiite populations.

They are the only two countries on the peninsula to suffer unrest in recent years, and the Saudis helps the governments of those countries put the unrest to bed.

Uprising in predominantly Shia Bahrain was for overthrow of Sunni Monarch. I bet if the ruling Monarch was Shia there wouldn't have been an uprising. So the uprising had 100% Religious reasons.
