Some good selections there. I saw No Country for Old Men and was very impressed, being a fan of Cormac McCarthy. I don't think any other director(s) could have pulled that one off as well as the Coen Bros. did.

Luns - strong feelings, sir. 2001 is IMHO the greatest cinematic experience ever. Why so hostile? If it seems like pretentious guff that's only because, like, kubrick ws exploring pretentiousness through the lens, as it were, of human frailty, or something, and anyway you really need to view it in the original Czech.

Nothing makes me more hostile than the HAL-9000 :wink:

I'm actually just having a bit of fun with you there. It was indeed a groundbreaking movie. Although it's interesting to note that Pan Am airlines went out of business before 2001 even though it's seen shuttling people from earth to the moon in the movie.
