So TG's is (sort of) saying Reality is fixed, and science is proof that it is fixed. (however we don't really perceive neutrons and electrons, we simply believe the science is correct, or believe what we see under a microscope)
Nietzsche is saying humans are unable to fully perceive reality, because our senses have faults.
I don't see why your two ideas are mutually exclusive?
Can't science and a fixed reality exist, but just be beyond out perception and ability to fully experience it?
