So are Guns, Cigarettes, McDonalds, Sport Bikes, Drain Cleaner & Rat Poison. There are plenty of consumer items that are dangerous, yet they are legal.

I don't care if you've got one ounce or one pound, as long as you aren't infringing on others' rights then go forth and smoke.

I happen to agree with you (although I don't smoke it). I'm in the "legalize and tax it" crowd. But let me play Devil's Advocate. If marijuana is legalized, then should we also legalize cocaine, hashish, LSD, mushrooms, hallucinogenic toads. . . you get the picture. And if your answer is no, why not?

2)Alchohol and Nictoine are already legal and far more damaging to individuals and society
3)It's an unrefined plan as nature intended it to be. (Unless of course you're buying genetically modified seed) Marijaunna being illegal is logically equivalent to making nutmeg, or any illegal
4)All sorts of products can be made from the hemp plant. Things like paper and fuel and clothing. It can be harvested 1 or 3 times a year depending on the climate, and would lead to lower levels of destruction of our forests and atmosphere.

EXACTLY!!! there's already enough harmful things that are legal, like motor vehicles, scissors, electricity, and so on and so forth...
So why do we need to legalize even more harmful things? we've got enough...

The "war on drugs" is a wildly expensive & massive failure.
