First pour half a pint of your favourite white cider in (eg White Lightening)
Then add in half a pint of your favourite superlager (eg Tennents Super, Special Brew)
Drink.
Tastes surprisingly nice (especially considering both White Lightening and Super taste bloody awful on their own)
Any other recommendations for similar bizarre, but importantly NICE, cocktails?

Yeah, it's snakebite over in the UK. Although that particular concoction is more 'Trampbite'(a tramp is a bit like a hobo)

Two scoops of vanilla ice cream in a large glass, fill 'er up with your choice of beer (light, fruity beers work best... think Belgian Whites... it's counter-intuitive but stouts and even chocolate stouts don't work so well with the beer float).

That sounds interesting. I think I'll try it this summer.

A snakebite anywhere in the South is half cider, half Guinness...
Half Guinness and half Boulevarde is called a Yellowjacket...

I knew one guy who used to make a "Shandy" by mixing a lemonade alcopop with an alcohol-free beer, which has to be one of the most pointless things I've ever heard.
NO, wait, it would be even more pointless to tell you guys about it...(oops)

There are lots of variants on that here, beer mixed with Coke (or Pepsi) is called "Diesel", with Sprite or something similar it's an "Alster", I have no idea what it's called if you mix it with Fanta, but there's probably a name for that as well. Many breweries actually sell the stuff already bottled for your convenience, flavours used include, lime, cola, dragonfruit, grapefruit, orange, and probably a dozen more I can't think of now or haven't encountered yet. It's really caught on here.
