he can be harsh at times, but at least he speaks from his heart, and he is a pretty intelligent person. I like to listen to him for humor, and for interesting thoughts on current topics. Here's a good one that he is spot-on with:

Interesting guy... I like some of his politics. On the flip side, I disagree with a lot as well. But the same can be said about a lot of people.

Yeah, he's pretty anti-religious, and I definitely don't like his take on it. The idea that religion prevents people from thinking isn't true. It can be in some cases, but it's a very unfair generalization. I do agree with his views on separation of church and state, however.

I dunno, not much else to say. Mixed feelings I suppose?

That's not true at all. Sure he makes fun of Bush plenty, but I'd say that in all honesty it's only around 10% of his jokes.

I've only seen a few of his shows, I don't have whatever network he's on. It just seemed like, in the shows I saw, all his jokes are basically the comic equivalent of lay-ups.

Yeah, I agreed the most with the part in the clip about why homosexuality shouldn't be a problem, why people wouldn't fake it. I didn't fully agree with the assessment that religion prevents everyone from thinking. I was raised Roman Catholic, baptized, communion, confirmation, but am no longer practicing, I still believe in some form of God/force, I guess that makes me agnostic? There are many intelligent scholars, scientists, politicians, etc that are also religious.

I do however agree that it does prevent logical thought in a lot of people, people that instead of assessing a situation with their own logic, thoughts, feelings will use what someone else has written or told them. When you make a statement that you thought over, reasoned out, and came up with yourself, when someone attacks it or questions it, you have to answer for it, you are responsible for upholding it. If you make a statement based on someone else or a book then you can just deflect the attack, so if someone questions you you can be like "hey, it's not me, the book says so". I think that is a safety net that people find easy to use instead of having to take responsibility for their own thoughts.

we was better on abc before he got kicked off. now he is just trying to show off cause he has more freedom to speak his mind, which isnt always a good thing. because he is now more annoying like a whinning little kid .

There are many intelligent scholars, scientists, politicians, etc that are also religious.

I agree here, but the same can be said for basically anything. People tend to dogmatically accept anything written down, be it history, religion, or Wikipedia.
