Girl, 16, has second set of triplets

Postby brooksieb on Fri Feb 22, 2008 10:49 am

A 16-year-old girl has given birth to triplets for the second time in a case which has stunned doctors and caused outrage in Argentina.

The girl, named only as Pamela, had a second set of female triplets earlier this month after giving birth to her first set at the age of 15 in July 2006. She had her first child, a boy, when she was just 14.

All seven children were born prematurely but without any kind of fertility treatment. While doctors say the three newborns and their mother are well, the case has sparked debate across Argentina.

The girl, who turns 17 on Monday, and comes from the town of Leones in the province of Cordoba, has received help from local authorities, including the building of a house for the family on some donated land.

Pamela's mother, Magdalena, 49, who works as a cleaner to support her grandchildren, said: "When we knew that we would again have triplets we wanted to die. She has no job, the father of the triplets left and I am the sole breadwinner for her and her family."

The case has sparked debate across the Roman Catholic country, with the media saying rather than financial help, she should have received better sex education and birth control advice.

Exactly.

Reread my post.

The people mentioned in the article aren't chavs. They're peasants. They're from a tiny town in rural Argentina. The town's only claim to fame is the National Wheat Festival.

I'm still not completely up to par on this chav thing, but isn't comparing someone to a group that you look down on a bit denigrating? It's one thing to call oneself chav, but another to label someone else...

I think that's what quite a bit of the fuss is about. Lack of sex ed.

Note that this girl, whose children have no father, also has no father. Dan Quayle was right. Fatherlessness leads to more fatherlessness and poverty. This girl is starved for a man’s affection so she searches for it in the only way she knows. The men of her community need to load their shotguns and track down the perro sinverguensa that got her pregnant and ran off, and supervise his taking up his responsibilities.
The right answer to the wrong question is still the wrong answer to the real question.

That's quite a generalization. I grew up sans father and never really felt the need for one. Rather, I would blame this entire scenario on a lack of sex ed and probably their natural stupidity (you'd think they'd stop having sex after the first set of unwanted triplets...)

Things this whore should have done to avoid this problem:

1) Get a job so that she would have something to do other than having sex.
2) Stay in school so that she would have something to do other than having sex.
3) Be a deadbeat like she is now, but don't have sex.
4) Use protection.
5) Abort all six of the babies.

Any father figure for you? I too grew up without a father, but I had my great grandfather and my uncles as father figures.

Are you a girl or a boy? A lot of girls without fathers look for a boy to give them the love that they needed from their father. Girls with good father figures in their life have a tendency to have sex later, rather than sooner. Not true of everyone but true more times than not.

why only focus on this one girl... and, its not only in their country. its also in the usa and others. just because she had two sets of triples. now at days, its the grandmothers who takes up the responsibility by watching and providing for the grandkids, while the mom goes off and messes around or parties . its a shame but its the cycle that see's no end in sight.

Yeah...at the same time, whilst they're breeding like rabbits, the White Race is going to become extinct mighty quick in the US unless the whole "contraception and abortion until I'm 37 and have one kid and neglect it 'cos I'm a career woman and of course have no obligation towards my kids since woman r teh = of men" thing stops.

Male. However, I've never seen any evidence for girls who grow up sans father figure to be more likely to have sex earlier. What is it about being in constant immediate proximity to someone who watches football constantly and occasionally plays catch with you (steriotypical father figure) that discourages early teen sex? By that logic, any child raised by a lesbian couple should be out having sex by the age of 10 and any child raised by a male homosexual couple should abhor sex.

@muy: Not really. The entire rest of my family lives in an entirely different state.

...

Uh huh.

I'm not even going to try to debate with you about this. As much as you may wish this was the 1800's, it's not gonna happen.
