Question about "Cum on Feel the Noise"

Postby muy_thaiguy on Sun Oct 14, 2007 7:21 pm

Many people know the Quiet Riot and Slade version of this song, I just started listening to the Oasis version, and I must say, it was crap.

To compare, Quiet Riot

And Oasis

And the original Slade

To me, the Oasis version is crap, but the original is sweet while Quiet Riot just plain rocks.

Question: What do you guys think?
"Eh, whatever."

I always though that Quiet Riot did it first.

Awesome.

I prefer Oasis as a band overall, but yeah, this version sucks.

(Non-) original songs FTW!

Respect (Otis Redding), Smokin' in the Boy's Room (Brownsville Station), Turn, Turn, Turn (Pete Seeger), After Midnight/Cocaine (J.J. Cale), Black Magic Woman (Fleetwood Mac), Blinded by the Light (Bruce Springsteen), Crossroads (Robert Johnson), Hard to Handle (Otis Redding), Heard It Through the Grapevine (Gladys Night & the Pips), Hey Joe (Leaves), Hound Dog (Big Moma Thorton), Hush (Billy Joe Royal), etc.

Yeah, I have too much time on my hands.

Older, and it sounds like his throat went down the same way as Brian Johnson's did, but still cool though. 8)

The Oasis version was not as bad as I was expecting. Probably helped to be expecting the worst.

Yeah, but after listening to it for 20 seconds, I couldn't stand it. :x Quiet Riot was not that different from the original, if a bit more Metal then the original.

well you should live here, sun all year round and a mild temperature and you cant beat having the Chargers as a team (but Norv turner can go play in a food processor while marty comes back to reclaim his post)

and btw
#1 slade
#2 only slightly behind because it wasn't the original quiet riot
#3 oasis, not nearly hardcore enough

No thanks, from what I here, people in Southeren Cali don't look to kindly on Cowboys. Also I hear pollution is quite the problem there, as for in Wyoming, there's practically none.

San Diego is THE most culturally diverse and accepting place i have ever been to, nobody cares about your race or cowboyness (or whatever the word is) :P they just like you for who you are. and pollution is mostly in LA, we get a tiny bit that you can only tell if you really look for it but it clears up in a day or two. lastly never ever get SoCal confused with LA, LA gives the the rest of us a bad name. well if you ever want a good vacation come on down the beaches are great and the water is warm :D

Same here. Cum on Feel the Noise is meant to be a Hard Rock song, not soft rock or Indie, or whatever they are. :?

indie isn't a style it just means they aren't part of a record label, they fly solo which had advantages and disadvantages,
