Nope, this entire thing is wrong. God knew you were going to do that as it was already planned out. He makes all the choices and he knows exactly what you will do. You may have made the decision to see the show, but God knew that you would because that was his will. Again, I don't want this to become another religious debate, but it will be what it will be. You can't argue with what I'm saying and make me believe it.radiojake wrote:misterman10 wrote:But God knows exactly what you are going to do. That's a cop out.
Your entire life's outcome is based on decisions that you make. For instance, last April i went and saw a band play in three different cities. At the one show i met a girl at the show and now 18 months later I've moved cities and am living with that girl. I love her to bits. Although she would say it was a kind of destiny, i think more it was just a series of circumstances. If I didn't go to that show, I would 99% probably be still living back in Adelaide and the last 18 months would've been completely different. It has nothing to do with god or destiny, but purely of the choices I made in my life. Pre-determined destiny is a mere product of humans who want another outlet to blame when their life choices turn out shit (or when people don't give themselves enough credit for their life's work. Like when people win awards of some sort, and they start off by thanking God or Jesus?? f*ck man, you wrote that book/song/screenplay - not god or jesus, don't thank them and give yourself more credit)
understand yeah?

Your thoughts are your thoughts, and you can believe what you want. But in actuality, YES, God does have everything planned out.Fircoal wrote:no he doesn't. I'm not sure about God, but if he does exist he isn't planning out our life.

I see where you are coming from, all I am saying is that, as a Christian, you won't be able to alter my views, just like I won't be able to alter your viewsradiojake wrote:I don't want it to be a religious debate either, but it ends up that way so often because you guys seem to think he does everything. I don't believe in pre-determined destiny, and you can't prove that it exists. Again it comes down to whether or not someone has faith or belief in stuff like this. (I'm sure their are quite a few who are not Christian or anything but believe in destiny as well). Humans just think they're more important than they really are. 6 Billion people on the planet. How can anyone think that everyone's life is pre-determined? We're just animals. Are animals live's pre-determined too? (oh wait, they probably are, just humans control how long they are in the slaughterhouses for or how long their natural habitat is going to last for before it's destroyed for more housing developments.)

Honestly, there is no use in me trying to explain to you any of this. But to put it simply, you are wrong.radiojake wrote:misterman10 wrote:Your thoughts are your thoughts, and you can believe what you want. Well God is a f*ck then
why would s/he plan out the destruction of the planet s/he loves so much?? Maybe because s/he made it in 7 days (apparently) and ultimately doesn't care because there was so little effort put in.

As humans, it is free will, but that doesn't mean God doesn't know what we will decide to do. He knew I was going to post this message, even though I didn't know I would until this point.radiojake wrote:misterman10 wrote:Honestly, there is no use in me trying to explain to you any of this. Wait, is that because humans have FREE WILL ??
