well just the word "White" in your name says something about your post, and if it is meant as a joke about the Blackberry then that says a lot

Believe it or not, all of these ironys that you point out are coincidental. To me white, black, green, blue, etc. are just colors. It should have nothing to do with race. My intention was not to offend anyone, just bring up a curious observation that I have noticed. If anyone is offended by it then they are taking this the wrong way. Why is that even the mention of anyone's race brings up heated debate? It should not be this way.

I am also just bringing up some curious observations, and the reason people get angry is because racial topics have been mentioned a lot in the past of this forum and are disliked now as a result

I spend way too much time in these forums already and I have tried to read every single post, but I haven't been able to keep up yet. If people do not want to participate in this thread, then they do not have to. static ice, you could have ignored this thread if you did not like the topic, but I see that you chose to read and post anyway.
Cronus, thank you for your serious comments without turning to the racial debate and insults. This was actually what I was looking for.

Yes you did. LOL. By the way, I am not a red neck chicken salesman. I am a red neck chicken buyer. There is a difference.

they are called european americans. We had a European American Cultural Club at my university.
Of course, African American was virtually eliminated from most colleges over the past few years as it gets confusing for foreigners who are white but lived in Africa but checked that box. Also, there are black people from Australia and the Carribean but only people who were around in the 1980s still use the term. It's been awhile since I heard African-American unless someone is going off on out of control PC terms.

I think this is quite a nice summary.
I think our american friends are slightly more politically correct than us Brits, well, not neccassarily more politicallly correct, but more sensitive to these issues.
In Britain, I am reffered to ethnically as white, and a negroe is reffered ethnically to as Black. I can remember Radio 1 in Britain were interviewing will smith once, and chris moyles (a DJ) reffered to him casually as a black-man, which is normal practice in england, and will smith was a little bit offended by it, by being used to being reffered to as an african american....so it just goes to show yanks are a little bit more sensitive about these things.
