i myself am 30, and will be 31 in january. it's an odd age......i've been thinking about it lately as the end of true youth and the beginning of middle age. i'm sure many people would say this isn't true anymore, what with 40 being the new 20 or whatever....
i know this: injuries don't heal as fast. it's easier to put on little pounds. girls don't look at you quite the same, and you start to wonder if anyone under 25 thinks you're attractive, and damn that sucks. i suppose that's why middle age dudes buy sports cars, divorce their wives, and marry someone 10-20 years younger, it's a weird thing to handle.....
course, i married a girl 5 years younger and i have an unshakeable confidence granted to me from being an asshole and drinking a fair amount. i recommend one or more of these things, and you'll be fine. it's gotta be harder to pull this off in image-conscious L.A., but if anyone can do it, you can, incan.
in truth, it's probably time to start thinking more about eating better, investing and saving, putting your nose down and working your ass off while you can, enjoying life physically while you can, and lots of other nostalgic shit. i find that alcohol and other stuff affects me way harder now. so take it easy on me in pennsy, i hope you're there and we can celebrate being old men....
cheers and best wishes, fuckface
