Are we surprised that TWO persons full of bile and vitriol BOTH claim election fraud and cheating when they both lost their election (in different years, of course)?
I would argue that TRUMP WON in 2016 because Hillary had built up a reputation for being a BAD person who is egocentric and conceited. Hillary was MORE disgusting than Trump in 2016. I had to hold my nose to simply VOTE in 2016; both main candidates were disgusting and repulsive. I had to chose the one less repulsive.
Trump proved that same disgusting aura once he took The Office of POTUS. Trump proved to be at least an equally disgusting person (based on his vitriolic statements that he kept tweeting) and thus ended up losing his re-election in 2020. Trump proved to be an even WORSE loser than Hillary as he refused to concede his LOSS, kept claiming FRAUD, and then encouraged the January 6 insurrection. At least Hillary did respect the country and its institution enough to NOT try to encourage an attack on the US Congress.
I think that Trump's actions and statements in the last three months in Office means that he cannot be re-elected. Trump has caused in most of the electorate too much disapproval, dislike and even hatred of him, and this vast widespread disapproval of Trump means that he will not get re-elected. This situation is true, no matter how many supporters attend his rallies.
Terry McAuliffe tried to use this disapproval and even hatred of Trump to win his re-election bid, but there were too many other negatives at play that this simple strategy did not work in my home state of Virginia on November 3.
President Biden's falling rating and his failure to manage economic issues has caused and encouraged MASSIVE disapproval of the tactics and strategies of the Liberal extremists who now control most of the pronouncements and actions of the Democratic Party. The vast majority of Americans are not racists and are NOT full of hate. We are getting tired of being called such. We are tired of being told how to think by the liberal media. We are tired of being made to feel that American values are wrong. We are tired of the divisive and polarizing politics from BOTH sides.
How can a nation FULL of "Systemic Racism" elect 1) a black Vice-President in 2020? 2) a black President in 2012? 3) re-elect him in 2016? Most Americans, as shown by my fellow Virginians, are tired of the LIES spouted by Liberal Democrats.
Education, CRT, and actions taken to limit freedom and the ability to WORK all played a role in the Nov. 3 election and the resulting defeat of Terry McAuliffe.
And further irony, that is not widely reported: The other two candidates for Virginia statewide office are more diverse than what the Democratic Party offered as candidates. Winsome Sears, elected as Lt. Governor, is a black woman:
Sears, who was born in Jamaica, is the first Black Republican woman to be elected to the Virginia General Assembly, representing the 90th district from 2002 for one term. In 2004, she launched an unsuccessful bid for Congress against Democrat Rep. Bobby Scott. She is also a Marine veteran, former vice president of the Virginia Board of Education and owner of an appliance business. She is a wife and mother of three daughters. In 2012, her 27-year-old daughter DeJon L'Air Williams and two grandchildren died in a car accident.
"It's a historic night -- yes, it is -- but I didn't run to make history. I just wanted to leave it better than I found it," Sears said before a crowd of supporters early Wednesday morning.

Her message resonated with many in Virginia. I heard several persons comment TODAY on how impressive she is; I have heard her pronouncements for many months and was not surprised by what she said after her election.
And the New VA A.G. is also an impressive person who is not from the "Establishment" (i.e., NOT White):

Republican Del. Jason Miyares elected Virginia’s first Latino attorney general

With his victory, Miyares becomes the first Latino to be elected as Virginia’s attorney general.
Del. Miyares (R-Virginia Beach) has credited his mother, who fled communist Cuba and became a U.S. citizen, throughout his campaign for instilling “a passionate love of the freedom and democracy of America.” A former assistant commonwealth’s attorney in Virginia Beach, Miyares became the first Cuban American to be elected to the Virginia General Assembly when he won the vacant Virginia Beach House seat in 2015.
“Fifty-six years ago, my mother fled Cuba – with nothing but a dream – a dream for a better life for her family,” Miyares said in a statement before the race was called. “Now I stand here today – elected to be the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Virginia – the first-ever son of an immigrant and the first Latino ever to be elected statewide in the Commonwealth’s history.”
The ideological divide between Herring and Miyares was evident this election season, with both candidates sharing opposing views on health care, crime and even the role of Virginia’s attorney general.
