The best route is too first and for most, don't believe in a god...nothing greater in the whole universe but thyself. Then you are free to believe in any religion you want for political purposes. Oh shit! That sounds a bit to the right as well! But it is typically more associated with the left...

Hate to tell you, DaGip, but on World standards, Hillary is more of a moderate conservative than a liberal. Same with Obama.
