Never saw the movie. But the one thing that people at my school kept on quoting was something like "people shouldn't be afraid of the government, the government should be afraid of it's people." They did it way to often, it really annoyed me. Mainly because many people think that this movie (along with 300) were somehow politically motivated movies. All they were, were movies based off of graphic novels. Not to mention those that thought "300" was historically accurate really pissed me off to some extent.

Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

well V was an anarchist graphic novel. the movie watered down the message a bit, but it was still a political movie about anarchism.

... V is based loosely on an actual failed plot, the Gunpowder Plot, is it not?

Nah it's inspired by it. The Guy Fawkes mask everyone is wearing is off Guy Fawkes who once tried to blow up parliament and got hanged.
"Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill."

Duane: You know what they say about love and war.
Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.
