yeah. Most common prediction I've heard is that it will be LSU v. OSU in the National Championship and GA vs. USC in the Rose Bowl. Hopefully, USC loses so that when LSU beats OSU they can't whine their way into another "shared" spot as National Champions. That's really what got me to hate USC. bunch of whiny cry babies.
With Mizzou and WV out of it, lets look at it this way:
1. OSU
2. UGA
3. Kansas
4. VT
5. LSU
6. USC
7. Oklahoma
The question is, which of those teams has the potential to not only jump over UGA but also claim the #2 spot (yes I'm suggesting 2 teams could move ahead of GA). VT is the closest but with their loss to LSU, they will probably not be taken. LSU has just won the SEC championship and will most likely be regarded higher than VT in the polls. Being in the same conference as GA, they will likely be considered as better than GA. However there is also Oklahoma, the only team in the nation who has beaten Mizzou, twice in fact. While, beating the previous #1 team in the nation will give them some good momentum to jump forward I doubt they could move all the way up in front of GA and take the #2 spot. USC is a very talented team, however they did lose to Stanford, and while they may jump to #3 over GA I cannot see them putting them over the SEC champions.
I predict:
1. OSU
2. LSU
3 or 4. USC
3 or 4. UGA
I'm not really sure how the others will turn out.
