That sounds perfect, just the wife has to worry about me getting a little drunked up and popping her in the head. If the minorities are mostly africans I usually get along with them quite well. Of course the ones here are either actually from Africa or regular Canadian guys that are darker with curlier hair.

In places like these, both blacks and "Mexicans" (very often Guatemalans, actually) tend to be extremely downtrodden, silenced.

So I should buy a nice vacume truck before moving there. Bring my job with me?

Which would be better for gardening?

We like peppers, cucumbers, tomatos, peas, carrots, potatoes, corn, brocoli and watermelon.

Oh, and peaches would be bonus.

Try collards, okra, cushaw, purple-hull peas. Maybe buy a rifle for hunting javelinas. You'll fit in swell.

What's a "javelina"?

So I'm supposed to grow that stuff in addition to my picks or because my stuff won't grow there.

.... Gas prices have nada to do with it.

... The only people who will be facing major (note that qualification there) increases in heating bills are those who heat their homes with heating oil. That equates to less than 5% of Americans. Propane heaters will face hikes, too, but they number so few as to not really count.

... Projected increases in natural gas prices are around 4%, tops.

All of those things will grow in the US South, but if you want to be AUTHENTIC...

A javelina is a wild hog.

I'm ok with adding them, I just want the good stuff too.

Sweet and sour javelina and javelina lettuce and tomatoe sandwiches. Mmmmmm.
