What certain areas?
On romance/love, in certain areas of politics, in war, in friendship. Money does help, but money alone could never make you better in these areas. How you are personally is more important then the amount of money you have.
1. money can buy u love, its love as long as there is money
2. politics is all about money, there is no place in politics where money does not influence it
3. war is all about money, if ur army is broke with no money for provisions, weapons, vehicles, tanks, and my army is rich and can buy nukes, i think u have enough common sense to see who would win in a fight (thats assuming u have any common sense, but i might be thinking too higlhly of u if i based my thinking on ur post)
4. friendship is similar to love, its there as long as the money is coming in.
1 and 4 aren't true, in most cases, but odd you said war and potitics. They heavily are infludenced by money.

The reason I mentioned war is that money alone is not enough. Look at the Iran-Iraq war, and the war in Iraq atm. The side which has so much more money and resources is losing. Look at Vietnam as well. Its about tactics and strategy more then money.
The topic is "money = power", which in politics is not strictly true. Money itself will never buy you an election, or a position in the cabinet, you yourself need to be half worthy to have the position, and also with politics, if you screw up the media will make sre you dont get another position now matter how rich you are (in UK politics anyway, dunno bout US)
if u look at the US, each time there is a presidential campaign, millions of dollars are spent on campaigning, if the candidates dont have money, how would they advertise that they are the best choice to vote for?
both wars, if u look at it closely are based on guerilla tactics, which in a sense is not truely a war. in the vietnam war, the north used the jungles to do ambushs and then run away. there was no confrontation between 2 oppposing forces that normal leads to a large battle or multiple battles like a real war.
same for iraq, the main combatent is the US, but the opposing force? merely a bunch of guys, using their own people as a shield so that they can plant some bombs or shoot rockets safely behind innnocent citizens of their own country which they claim to be fighting for. then they run away and the US although fighting in a war, ar still bounded by international rules that does not allow them to unleash their full might, less innocent people die by the hands of their own countrymen.
ps my statements about love/frienship and money, it may be a little biased as i haev been burned a few times by ex-gfs, and backstabbing friends. i will admit that money has a lesser influence on them than other aspects of life.
