I messed up badly

but it's not my fault I'm a software specialist, not hardware. Ok here is the story I have HP pavilion xt395 Laptop, recently it became erratic and crashed or didn't boot at all, so I figured I'll split the hard drive and install a new OS on the new portion. I split it into portions but I also accidentally activated the empty one. Now keep in mind that I lost my BIOS password years ago. So I figured I'll boot from OS installation CD, that didn't work, so I decided to try the factory passwords to unlock BIOS and see what's wrong, that didn't work. Now I figured I'll reset the password by taking it apart, and taking out my motherboard battery for 12 hours. I took it apart and the battery slot is EMPTY, WTF..... I decided to short out the jumpers couldn't find the fucking right jumper, I HATE LAPTOPS. Ok so I putted it back together and decided to boot and nuke my hard drive and install from beginning, started B&N then I realized that that won't work but it was 3% done already. The weird thing is I can boot from recovery Cd's (but it stops half way) but I can't boot from any of my Win Xp, Win Vista, Win 2000 Cds or Win 98 Floppy's. Someone please shoot me or help me, I don't care about the data on my laptop hard drive I back up every week I JUST WANT TO MAKE MY LAPTOP WORK AGAIN.
P.S. I ordered a cable to hook up my laptop hard drive to my desktop, so I can install DOS OS from there, but it won't get here for 5 days and I have a meeting in 2, I need my laptop!
