What's he making fun of? This is no laughing matter. He has a point though, but it's extremely difficult to do it. Take rhinos for example, they were hunted nearly to complete extinction because their horns were and probably still are used in semi-magical medicines, especially in Asia or so I hear. In some African wildlife sanctuaries each remaining rhino has a personal bodyguard to keep poachers away.
For tigers there needs to be an alternative solution, unlike rhinos they are carnivores and as such a potential threat to any bodyguard and they rely on stealth to hunt their prey and a clumsy human following them would be a major hindrance.
