Right now China does not have the ability to ensure a victorious invasion of Taiwan. They have to travel over 100 miles of sea and try to supply whatever troops and equipment that is lucky enough to land.
Plus, the Chinese economy is fragile at this time and any illegal invasion of Taiwan will result in severe repercussions from the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, India and others in the region around China. The United States will not stand alone in defending the democracy of Taiwan.
Of course Trump admires Dictator Xi of communist China, Dictator Kim of North Korea (Love Letters) and Dictactor Putin (goes without saying).

I have two recurring nightmares, rather than fears. Both are infrequent these days due to being in time far away from the causes.
In one I somehow have to return to my old job teaching programmers. Worst thing is that computers have moved on so far the trainees know more about modern computing than I do.
In the other, I am somehow required to live with my first wife again, and she hasn't changed a bit.
