It was insensitive and racist and was not funny. But just because something is insensitive and racist doesn't mean it isn't funny.

I thought the following was funny (possibly because you can switch the target to any identifiable group or individual, I guess) -

Q: Why do(es) [insert target group or individual] smell?

A: So that blind people can hate them too.

I guess it's insensitive but it's funny so get over it. I can't see how it's racist. Seems like everything is racist nowadays.

I got a good chuckle. Made funnier that a news outlet didn't look at the names and go "gee, maybe this is a prank?"

Yeah… but once you tell the joke and insert the “identifiable group” it becomes “racist” or insensitive. No?

BTW…. the joke is an old one and it isn’t “insert target group” it’s “Italians”.
