Canada has a MLB team so already international.

24.2% of MLB players were born in traditionally Spanish countries. (2021 stats)
That’s a huge percentage!

That doesn’t include players that view themselves as Spanish Americans.

USA Census numbers show what is called the browning of America. “The census showed that as of July 1, 2011, 50.4 percent of the nation's population age 1 or under was either Hispanic or a race other than white.”

Mexico has a lot of poverty, but it also has very rich. It also has numbers. If your selling hats and jerseys Mexico City alone has 9 million people, 21 million if including surrounding areas. Nationally Mexico has 126 million. Mexico is already a tourist draw. There are also a good number of American expatriates living in Mexico that might want some Americana.

Havana was and may return as a major vacation getaway. It’s got an exotic location, history and culture.

I think baseball should look long term and put the idea out there.
