Georgians Get to Deduct Embroys on Taxes, Sorry California!

Postby saxitoxin on Tue Aug 02, 2022 10:58 am

The Georgia Department of Revenue said Monday that in-state residents can claim embryos with a “detectable human heartbeat” as dependents on their taxes.

The statement by the Georgia Department of Revenue added that as of July 20, taxpayers can claim an exemption in the amount of $3,000 per embryo.

An exemption can be claimed if a taxpayer has “an unborn child (or children)” with a detectable heartbeat which the statement said may occur as early as six weeks’ gestation.

The Supreme Court in late June overturned the Roe v. Wade decision that had established a constitutional right to abortion. Since that ruling, a number of states have moved to ban abortions.

In California and Taxachusetts, people can't write-off embryos on their taxes. It costs to be pro-abortion.

It is good to see US public bodies moving to protect vulnerable children, although it is sad to see they are doing so without proper reference to His word. God says that it is fine to wait until the baby has started to develop its form (<120 days), see whether it has become mishapen or otherwise undesirable, and terminate if it has. Americans clearly need to update their word of God and stop reading all that old school Roman era Bible rubbish.

Rewarding parents for raising their embryos = good

Not adding a caveat allowing them to terminate a potato embryo = poorly thought out

This just generates demand for a market to buy and sell embryos.

I might have been in the market too, but alas... California.
