No...I was under the impression that hardware was the primer - ie the operating system, pretty much everything required to make your computer run and software was anything that was installed after the computer was setup.

And you're right - I don't know much about computers.

Hardware is all of the stuff your computer has making it run..


software is the programs allowing it to work.


Vista is software that allows your hp dell, compaq,gateway or whatever hardware to run.

And you're right - I don't know much about computers.


neither do i, but i'm learning about it through engineering, turns out pc's can actually do all sorts of useful things, i know mac ads bag out pcs for only running spreadsheets, but those things are damned useful for doing maths.
and reverend kyle is right, think of hardware as the stuff you can touch, and the software as anything which tell those things what to do.

thanks for reminding me cause I'm having the opposite problem. my itunes aint opening!

I open it but it return as program not responding please end now window before itunes even shows up on the screen. help anyone?

I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it still aint working... I wanna put songs on my ipodddddddd!!!!!

itunes for pc is pretty atrocious, are you using the latest version?
if so try an earlier one.
