Snow reports

Postby 2dimes on Sun Dec 08, 2019 8:48 am

We have been getting lots of fluffy snow over night. It's fairly cool out though, about -12C which appears to be 11F so it's really light and our DeWalt 18 volt leaf blower is getting the sidewalk clear. Killed the battery twice so far. Might be time to go out for a third time.

My buddy that lives in New Brunswick gets hammered every year. Luckily there are tons of Mennonites around with combine sized snow movers that do his driveway for him. His lawn tractor sized unit doesn't cut it. A dewalt would maybe do his covered porch

We had a couple of small storms so far this year.

Nothing big enough to make the record books.

It snowed in parts of Australia last week, and it's the start of summer (yes there are a few places here not on fire yet)

When I visited Aus it was February. Warm but we managed to miss the heat wave.

Have you ever gone to Phillip Island? My mother in law took us over night to see the fairy penguins. I joked about wondering how far you could punt one.

There was a diorama with a stuffed one that looked really rough in person but later my wife showed me a picture of it and I thought she had taken a picture of a live one.

I have not gone outside but noticed it was bright white out the window. Sure enough our city is covered in snow.

There was a forecast earlier in the week for 70cm west of here. That is over two feet. I don't know if it happened but that's a lot of snow.

It's coming down right now. Just blew some away and you can't really tell since more has replaced it. Maybe we should get a snowmobile.
