First of all suggesting democrats are all antifa thugs... is you participating in identity politics.

Secondly here are some 'mainstream fake news, democrats hiding the truth' news outlets covering it:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics ... story.html

https://www.newsweek.com/protesters-bur ... ay-1563199

https://www.nytimes.com/video/us/politi ... ation.html

Maybe you aren't actually reading the 'leftist' news outlets you claim are censoring the news?

...yet many on the Left like to act as if all Trump voters are “racist” and “gun toting militia” and “fascistic”. No?

Confed just made the statement (maybe in a different thread) that democrats alone are to blame for identity politics. I'm pointing out both sides do this.

Oh... OK.

Yeah the extremes in both sides are good are using ‘identity politics’ to drive their addenda.
Sometimes it seems the media, or the sides themselves, pickup on certain terms and use those terms (mostly) to describe just one side... even though the term could be fairly pointed to either extreme. For example people typically think of “Fascists” as being “Right Wing”... it that terms could describe extreme violent Left/Antifa type people as well.

Ummmm... yup!

It's like there are two guys with baseball bats stuck in an arena with a 600lb gorilla (China), and they choose to beat the shit out of each other and just ignore the gorilla. This is the current state of American media/politics... any answer to this that starts with "but trump" or "but biden" or "but rats" or but 'republicans' just proves my point.

tl/dr Americans are on the same team in a economic battle against all other countries... but they seem to have forgotten it.

I don’t disagree but I see the state of politics in the US and describe it differently.

I see us all on a balance / see-saw... and the two extremes on the left and right used to be so small that no matter how much they screamed it really never threw the see-saw out of balance much. Now as we self-select, and get our silo’s of news... and as we are bombarded with fake news and misleading info (on both sides) the extremist numbers are getting larger.

Ass this happens, the other side reacts... so let’s say only 2% were extremists on either side...well as say the right gets better recruiting, and they grow their extremists to 5%, the see-saw starts leaning out of balance. So people on the middle-left feel that and they have to counter and become more extreme themselves just for the left. Then the right reacts to this.

I don’t know what % is “extreme” in either side presently. I still think it’s relatively low, let’s say 5%. Still 5% is way way more than the 2% it used to be.

I hope the vast majority of us are still huddling close to the Center point... some a bit right or a bit left, but grouped in the center like a Bell Curve.

The problem is that the curve has flattened... and if it continues to flatten it becomes an unsustainable analogy... and also their chaos.

I would argue that the ONE of the most hated** Presidents of the US is your own now FORMER President Trump. Many voters wanted a break from all the DRAMA that Trump provided nearly everyday. He had a chance to show leadership and compassion during the COVID crises and FAILED to do so.

One of the main reasons Trump lost in 2020 is that he TURNED OFF so many voters due to his abrasive style and personality. AND he failed to attract more that his "base." I saw few attempts to attract more moderate voters. And he is hated nearly as much as Hillary.

One reason Trump won in 2016 is that Hillary was so hated by so many. She was a known and Trump was not knows as well politically.

(**And someone said that Lincoln was hated; he was very hated when elected TWICE in a very divided nation. Now he is venerated by most as a savior of the Union. Why do you think we have the Lincoln Memorial?)

JUS to clarify Jim:

Ceremony elements
Inauguration procedure is governed by tradition rather than the Constitution, the only constitutionally required procedure being the presidential oath of office (which may be taken anywhere, with anyone in attendance who can legally witness an oath, and at any time prior to the actual beginning of the new president's term).[14] Traditionally, the president-elect arrives at the White House and then proceeds to the Capitol Building with the out-going president. Around or after 12 noon, the president takes the oath of office, usually administered by the chief justice of the United States, and then delivers the inaugural address.

Fake News!

This can’t be a picture of Biden’s Inauguration...
1) It hasn’t happened yet... so unless your camera has a time-travel mechanism.
2) The Inauguration is scheduled for 1pm I believe, this is at night and no solar eclipse is predicted.

I’m pretty sure the image your claiming to be Biden’s Inauguration is actually from a BLM protest. Notice the authorities are in riot gear and fully prepared to “defend themselves from protestors” due to the biased nature of the system structure; unlike the January 6th debacle.
