Many times, when I hear american talk about free speach... it feels like they think they are entitled to say whatever they want. I don't know, in france you could arrest a nasty suicidal religious community... in the US sometimes it feels like if it's under the relgious banner and it's jesus related anything is ok as long as it's not muslim.
