Back bacon.

Postby 2dimes on Sun Oct 18, 2020 9:49 am

I have not seen back bacon for years for some reason.

We went to a butcher shop last week and there it was. Two packages in one of the refrigerated displays. I grabbed one.

My wife is frying it up for home made English muffin sandwiched later. It smell incredible! I suspect this will be a treat.

Hang on, wife tossed the package, I have to rifle through the garbage...

It was, $6.38 for the package I bought but $28/kg. I love a good butcher shop until it's time to pay.

I'm going to try to forget the cost and go back to blissful ignorance.

I loved it. Offspring seemed indifferent and my wife did not even like it.

Things are weird out west. Here in Ontario, there's always back bacon in the stores.

Good as always, although we stopped buying the bags.
